A Tribute to Lost Artists and a Journey of Healing
The Black Star film chronicles Jon’s channeling of an art piece that represents 80 wonderful artists the world has lost to addiction. Through this process Jon not only explores the relationship between art and addiction, but experiences a powerful transformation of his own.
Black Star is a tribute to the artists (and personal family members) we’ve lost to addiction and a call to action for each of us to help those who are currently struggling.
Black Star’s Impact
Supporting Addiction Recovery Through Art and Purpose
All profits from Black Star artwork sales fund addiction recovery centers, where we run Lifebook programs to help individuals in recovery find new purpose and direction.
Black Star has raised over $250,000 for these causes and was honored with the Audience Choice Award at the Sedona Film Festival.
